ROC highly recommends all members to have Ambulance Victoria membership or some other sort of ambulance insurance, for those rare times when things go wrong. If you do not have one, you will be required to cover the cost of emergency transport, which can be very expensive; typically well over $8,000.00 from rural Victoria.

If you are injured while on a trip, your trip leaders, medical officers or any other concerned party are within their rights to call an ambulance for you, against your will if they deem it necessary for your well-being, on your behalf.
